Secondo LeCompt, il nome originale del brano era C Sharp, il tono della chitarra del brano. Originariamente era stata composta per essere in Fallen, ma non lo è mai stata. Un'interpretazione particolare al brano descrive la dipendenza di John LeCompt’s da Eggo waffles (cialde alle uova).

Secondo Shelly LeCompt, il titolo di questo brano è "Forever You," e non "Forever Gone, Forever You."

John scrisse questo brano da solista prima della rottura dei Mindrage e della sua unione agli Evanescence! (Questo vi fa capire quanto tempo fa è stato - hehehe). E la versione originale (che sto sentendo adesso perchè voi ragazzi me la state facendo venire in mente - hehehe) chiamata C sharp era unicamente di John quando lui la registrò sul pc di casa. Sue sia la musica che il testo, la suonava tutta e cantava tutta! Così carino - hehehe. Okay dopo sono arrivati gli amabili Ben & Amy, a loro piacque molto come piaceva anche a John e così le aggiunsero un po' di "Evie" e queste sono state le origini di Forever You. Amy scrisse un nuovo testo in questa versione. Penso che questo la migliorò notevolmente o la rese peggiore chi lo sa! hahaha :D
