Lose Control is the ninth track from Evanescence's second studio album, The Open Door.
Amy wrote the song about wanting to be less apprehensive and more "loose", and wanting to not have so much responsibility.[1] Amy on Terry's guitar playing:

In October, the full song began to be played at concerts.[5][6] It was brought back to the setlist 14 years later for their joint U.S. tour with Halestorm in Fall 2021.[7] Then in 2022 it was added as part of a 3-song medley with Part of Me and Never Go Back.
