The 2nd track on Evanescence's self-titled album. The piano solo featured during the bridge is the same song Amy played in the "Meanwhile... in the studio" video she posted on her Twitter account in May 11th, 2011.[1]
In a track-by-track interview with NME.com, Amy Lee talked about the song saying:

This is one of the oldest songs, this is something that was from that sort of more electronic phase that I was going through, a couple years ago. I love this one, I feel like it's strong and defiant and badass and it only got better when the band started really being involved in it and writing that guitar part and everything about it. I feel like it popped up in a big way when the guys got involved. But I've always loved that one, I think it has a very cool, dark, sexy quality.[2] |

Made of Stone is the second track on the album, and I think it's definitely one of the oldest ones that we have, I don't know if I'd say it was a challenge to make, but I think the most work maybe went into it, just because it went through so many different phases. At first it was a very different style song, with no guitars and a lot of programing and interesting stuff and, yeah, went through a couple of different phases, worked on it with the band and the guys came up with some amazing guitar and drum and bass work and it turned into this completely other thing, and I think it's pretty cool now, I think it finally found its home where it is, so, yeah.[3] |
