So Close (also incorrectly referred to as The Last Day) is the fifth track from Evanescence's first EP, Evanescence EP.
The song is a cover of Will Boyd's song from his band. When that band disbanded, Evanescence covered it and put it on their EP. The song was credited to be written by Will, Matt Outlaw and Ben Moody. Matt Outlaw performed the drums for this song.[2] On Ben's BMI Repertoire, there is no song called So Close.
On September 15, 2019 a video of Evanescence performing back in 1999 was uploaded by Nick Williams, which includes the song So Close with Will Boyd singing the vocals. Watch the video here.
