The 16th track on the Deluxe Edition of Evanescence's self-titled album.
In an interview with Spin.com, Amy announced the name of three new songs included in the third album, among them is "Secret Door": a ballad played with the harp.[1]
On June 19, Amy posted a video on twitvid titled "...Secret Door..." in which she is playing a slow, calming piece on the harp.[2]
In a Spotify fan interview on July 18, 2012, Amy revealed the inspiration behind Secret Door:

I was having a recurrent dream. When I woke up every time all I could remember was this round door, overgrown with ivy and a really strong feeling of love- for something through the door. I wrote the song about love within a dream and the idea that reality is only the one you choose.[3] |
