General Information

The 11th track on Evanescence's self-titled album, Evanescence (album), previously titled "Orange". Amy revealed that the official title of the song is "Never Go Back".

In an interview with MTV, Amy said:

It wasn't about my life so much... when we first got into preproduction... the earthquakes and the tsunami happened in Japan and we were all totally glued to paying attention to it and these incredibly heart breaking images and everything... it was consuming my mind and we were working on that song at the same time... and I came in the next day and I was like "guys! I'm totally gonna make this song about the tsunami, like I have a great idea"... and i'm feeling like this human connection with it, obviously I haven't experience it, but I don't know, it was cool to write about something a little bit outside myself and yeah that isn't what I usually do, and I love that song.
