One of the longest Evanescence tracks made thus far. Ben Moody and David Hodges collaborated on making the piece. The song in the pre-produced stage was originally two tracks. The first was a five-minute Eternal and the last 2 minutes were known as Demise. The two tracks "sandwiched" Listen to the Rain on Origin’s pre-release original track listing. Away From Me was supposed to fade into the "beeping" sounds on the beginning of Eternal. Then after Eternal, Listen to the Rain came in. The song ended with Demise. Together, the songs made a 14-minute long song.
