General information
Written by: A. Lee, B. Moody and D. Hodges[1]
"Eternal" of the longest Evanescence tracks made thus far. The song in the pre-produced stage was originally two tracks. The first was a five-minute Eternal and the last 2 minutes were known as "Demise". The two tracks "sandwiched" "Listen to the Rain" on Origin’s pre-release original track listing. "Away from Me" was supposed to fade into the "beeping" sounds on the beginning of "Eternal". Then after "Eternal", "Listen to the Rain" came in. The song ended with "Demise".
In the home-made video of Amy Lee, Amy confuses this song with "Listen to the Rain". She plays a part of Eternal and the camera-man asks her "What's that song called?" Amy replies "I think something with 'rain'." Luckily, her younger sister, Carrie Lee, clarifies by saying "Eternal".[2]
