General Informations

The 10th track on Evanescence's self-titled album, Evanescence (album).

In an interview with Spin.com[1] Amy announced the name of three new songs to be included in Evanescence's new record, among these was "Oceans":

Vin1.jpg [Oceans] starts with a big, low synth and a vocal, then the band kicks in. It's big and lush. We've been having a lot of fun playing that one especially.

I get inspired by nature, the ocean's been a theme. Brokenness has become a little bit of theme, without necessarily offering a solution.

Evanescence premiered Oceans on the 17 August 2011 during Evanescence's show in Nashville.
