The New York Secret Show was a warm-up show on November 4, 2009 before the Maquinaria Festival show in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Amy Lee announced the show in a post on EvThreads:

Vin1.jpg Secret Show. NYC. November 4. We want to play a little warm up show for friends before playing for 40,000 people in Brazil. Tickets will be available for pre-sale through Evclub starting tomorrow (10/21) at noon EDT, until 9 pm on Thursday. They will be available to everyone starting Friday at noon (I will post the link as soon as its active). It's not a big venue, only about 1,000 capacity so get em while they're hot!

It will be at the Grand Ballroom on 34th and 8th (above the Hammerstein). BE THERE![1]

Tickets were sold out in under half an hour after being available.[2] Amy said on EvThreads:

Vin1.jpg I can’t believe those tickets went SO FAST. 20 minutes or something? Unreal. You guys are amazing, and I’m really excited. We originally wanted to announce the show a day or 2 before, but that really freaked the venue/promoter/booking agency out.
