Amy making an sketch of the flag dress for the contest.[1]

Amy Lee and The Stashbox teamed up for a contest taken place from September 17, 2012 to September 24, 2012. People would be part of a fun game on Stashbox website in which they would be up for four prizes: a giraffe painting by Amy, its sketch, a 30% discount code for the band's merch, and one of the 45 signed copies of Evanescence.

The Stashbox was a platform that promoted creativity and dialogue between fans and their favorite entertainers, brands, and blogs. By integrating social media, design, and gaming into the Versus campaign, Stashbox members were able to interact and collaborate with brands on upcoming products, promotions, and campaigns. Understanding the importance of clear, authentic communication, The Stashbox applied meaningful conversation to technology to capture the essence of human interaction, helping brands and consumers collaborate on future product development, trend validation, and marketing initiatives.

Contest

You would register for free at theStashbox.com and become a member to answer a daily question posed by Amy. A new question would go up each day starting on September 17. You would answer the questions Amy had asked. The questions were all either/or and all you needed to do is click on your choice (a check mark would appear when you've made a selection). Once you've answered all of the questions, you'd be taken to the "schwag game", a simple game of chance that let you win great prizes. After reading the quick "Rules" pop-up, you could start playing by selecting any square. If you won a prize, you'd get a congratulatory pop-up.[2]

Everybody who participated would receive:

  • A 30% discount code for all apparel at evanescence.com. The code would appear once you answer all of Amy's questions.
  • Everyone who completed the Versus would automatically be entered into the drawing for Amy's original painting and original sketch. You did not have to win the schwag game to be entered. At the end of the week, a winner for the two grand prizes (the painting and its sketch) would be picked.

Participants who won gold or silver stars:

  • If you win a gold star that means you would receive one of the 45 signed copies of the latest Evanescence album

The winners were announced on September 26.[3]
