General information
Written by: A. Lee and D. Eggar
Resurrection is a song that Amy Lee and Dave Eggar wrote for Hammerstep's short film, Indigo Grey: The Passage.
In an interview with Rolling Stone on November 5, 2015, Amy explains how she came to record the song;[1]
When Amy watched the dance routine, she said that the best thing to do to write the song would be for them to "step into the vocal booth and just put the mic on and recorded [them] doing the dance". She confirmed the song they wrote is called Resurrection and it's in the middle of the film;
The song was performed live for the first time on the PBS show, Bluegrass Underground, on March 8, 2014.[2]
Hammerstep uploaded the short film to YouTube on September 14, 2015.[3]
