Work with Amy Lee

Wes worked with Amy Lee back in 2003 when he was a part of supergroup, The Damning Well. Amy recorded guest vocals on their song Power, but due to issues with Amy's management, the song has never been released. Years later, the song was reworked into Coward, which is included in Black Light Burns' 2007 debut album, Cruel Melody. However, it doesn't include Amy's vocals.[1]

In an interview with MTV on November 14, 2003, Wes expressed interest in producing Evanescence's next record after Fallen.

In another interview with MTV three days later, Amy mentioned how she was "talking to a lot of people" about collaborations on their second album, including Wes Borland and Shaun Morgan of Seether.[3] Ultimately, the collaborations didn't happen for The Open Door.

In 2004, Wes addressed rumors that he wouldn't be joining Evanescence as a permanent member:

Danny Lohner and I worked with Amy Lee on the 'Underworld' soundtrack, talked about working with her sometime again in the future, and no plans of doing so as of right now. We are however in the first stages of doing some songs with Rob Zombie, and that looks like it's going to be good. So once again, I am not joining Evanescence.[4] Vin2.jpg
