A video in which Gail Marowitz explains how the cover art for The Open Door was created. The video can be watched on YouTube here.
The video, as well as the album cover's photo, was shot in 2006 at the Angel Orensanz Center, the oldest synagogue in New York City. The large door on the set was painted by Sarah Oliphant, which was inspired by Amy's original drawing.
