Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Regarded as a pop icon and an influential figure in popular music, Grande is known for her four-octave vocal range, which extends into the whistle register. Her accolades include two Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, two Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, 39 Guinness World Records, and ten MTV Video Music Awards. The world's highest-paid female musician in 2020, Grande has sold over 90 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

In June 2016, Ariana posted a small video to her Snapchat singing Bring Me to Life whilst using a filter that gave her black eyes.[1] Two years later, she and her ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, duetted on the song together at a karaoke bar.[2]

In May 2018, Ariana appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and took part in a Musical Genre Challenge where she was given Kendrick Lamar's song, Humble, and had to sing it in the style of "goth rock." Ariana chose to sing it in the style of Evanescence.[3]
