Alone is a song that was rumored to have been recorded by Evanescence for the Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack, which later turned out to be false. According to the hoax report, Avril Lavigne, Dido, and Evanescence were to have songs on the soundtrack, and either Dido or Evanescence would have the lead single for the soundtrack. In reality, the soundtrack features Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage and The Used.
