Diana Meltzer is an American music industry executive. She is the owner of Monster Hits Music and was the co-owner of the world largest independent label Wind-up Records with her ex-husband Alan Meltzer. She is the owner of the record label Monster Hits Music, founded in 2010.
She is known for discovering and signing Evanescence in 2001 after producer Pete Matthews played her Origin and other demos.[1] It was when she heard My Immortal that she became interested in signing the band, saying she "knew it was a hit".[1][2] She told HitQuarters that, although they already exhibited huge talent, they were still young and needed to be developed, and "given the time and opportunity they could deliver a breakthrough sound.[1] She is very dear to Amy Lee and is thanked on The Open Door's liner notes for all her support and friendship.
Although Evanescence separated from Wind-up in 2014, Meltzer remained friends with Amy and the band, and usually attends some of their shows.
