Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Regarded as a pop icon and an influential figure in popular music, Grande is known for her four-octave vocal range, which extends into the whistle register. Her accolades include two Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, two Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, 39 Guinness World Records, and ten MTV Video Music Awards. The world's highest-paid female musician in 2020, Grande has sold over 90 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

In June 2016, Ariana posted a small video to her Snapchat singing Bring Me to Life whilst using a filter that gave her black eyes.[1] Two years later, she and her ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, duetted on the song together at a karaoke bar.[2]

In May 2018, Ariana appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and took part in a Musical Genre Challenge where she was given Kendrick Lamar's song, Humble, and had to sing it in the style of "goth rock." Ariana sang it in the style of Evanescence.[3]
