Halestorm toured with Evanescence for the Carnival of Madness tour in 2012. On August 18th when they performed at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas, Amy Lee joined Lzzy on stage to duet for Break In. They have since performed it several times together.
Lzzy provided the vocals on the studio version of Lindsey Stirling's song, Shatter Me, released as the lead single from Lindsey's album of the same name in 2014. When Lindsey toured with Evanescence in Summer 2018, Amy provided the live vocals during the tour.
In a 2017 interview with Billboard, Lzzy recalls how hearing Evanescence on the radio proved that women can rock:
She showed me an open door — no pun intended — because up until she blew up the radio, I was largely the only female rocker in my area. A lot of industry folks just didn’t believe a girl rock band could get on radio. So when Amy proved them all wrong, it showed everyone that I wasn’t crazy for pursuing this career.[1] |
