This article is about the physical items released with the single. For the song itself, see What You Want.

The "What You Want" single is the first single from the band's third self-titled album, Evanescence. The song was digitally released on August 9th, 2011 exclusively on iTunes,^[1] and it was released to other digital retailers on August 16.^[2] The CD single was released on September 9th, 2011 in Germany.^[3]

This may be the first Evanescence single without a WUJC (US radio promo) release. Most radio stations get their content digitally nowadays, especially in the US.
