Dayseeker is an American post-hardcore band formed in Orange County, California, in 2012.

They released an acoustic cover of My Immortal on March 6, 2024.[1] Evanescence commented: "LOVE THIS! @dayseeker you did such a beautiful job of making it your own."[2]

Lead vocalist, Rory Rodriguez, explains why they picked My Immortal in particular to cover: "We bounced between an Evanescence cover, and then we were thinking about doing a My Chemical Romance cover, and we just landed on the Evanescence one. We laid out kind of a rough demo of it, and it just had a cool vibe. It sounded different than the original but still felt like it kind of paid homage to it. We just went with it, and it went really well. We had a nice little viral moment with it when we put it out, and like Amy Lee shared it, and like told our label she loved it, so it was a very cool moment for us."[3]
