Scott Kirkland is a member of the American electronic duo The Crystal Method, formed in the early 90s. He collaborated with Evanescence on The Bitter Truth's opener, Artifact/The Turn.[1][2] Amy Lee met him on tour and exchanged phone numbers. She told him, "If you got any ideas, you want somebody to sing on? Send it to me." When he sent The Turn electronic landscape, that's where the two-part intro came about.[3]
