Nine Inch Nails is a band that heavily influenced Amy Lee through her teenage years and when starting Evanescence. In an interview with Rolling Stone on April 1, 2004, she says that their album, The Downward Spiral, helped get her through the hard times:[1]
In an interview with Metal Hammer on May 23, 2017, Amy included the same album in her list of "The 10 Records That Changed My Life" in the category "The Album I Wish I Made Is...":[2]
