Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (born September 29, 1994), known professionally as Halsey, is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Noted for her distinctive singing voice, she has received several accolades including three Billboard Music Awards, a Billboard Women in Music Award, an American Music Award, and has received nominations for three Grammy Awards. She was on Time's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.
Halsey released a single, Lonely is the Muse, on August 15, 2024. It was inspired by Amy Lee, whom Halsey impersonated as part of her fifth album's promotion.[1] Amy Lee responded to the post saying, "High compliment coming from you, my dear".[2]
Halsey and Amy released a collaborative song, Hand That Feeds, written for the Ballerina movie, on May 9, 2025. They performed it live together when Evanescence opened for Halsey on May 14, 2025,[3][4] and when Amy surprised the crowd at Halsey's Nashville show on May 21, 2025.[5]
