Lemmy Kilmister with Amy Lee at Rock am Ring 2012.

Lemmy Kilmister (born Ian Fraser Kilmister) is the late founder and frontman for the rock band Motörhead.

In an interview with StayThirstyMedia.com in 2007, Lemmy made reference of his admiration for Evanescence.[1]

Vin1.jpg I've been listening to Evanescence a lot, I think they're fucking excellent. Excellent production, excellent songs, excellent arrangement. The girl's got a great voice, you know. And I don't even fancy her, which is a big part of girl singers, you know what I mean? I think they're just great. I went to see them in Vegas. Vin2.jpg

In another interview with Kerrang! in August 2015, Lemmy makes reference to Evanescence again when he talks about modern rock music:[2]

Vin1.jpg I don’t know why half of [modern bands] are together, ‘cause they don’t deserve to be. All they do is make a fucking racket. I think we’re still looking for an answer to punk, to be quite honest with you, ‘cause Nirvana wasn’t it, y’know? They were the closest, but that didn’t last. I like some bands. I like Foo Fighters and Evanescence and stuff. But I don’t know if we’re going to get a real thing like punk again. Vin2.jpg

After Lemmy passed away in December 2015, Amy Lee paid tribute to him on social media.[3]

Vin1.jpg You were so kind to me, supportive and encouraging and naturally, brutally honest. Thanks, Lemmy. You are a legend and I'll miss you! Vin2.jpg
