Sex Type Thing is a song by the rock band, Stone Temple Pilots, from their 1992 debut album Core. Evanescence covered the song in 2002 at the New Year’s Eve concert in Little Rock.

This song, despite the title, is not about sex. It is about control, violence and abuse of power.
