I Dreading Sundown sono una band Christian Metal formatasi nell'agosto del 2005 ad Hot Springs, Arkansas. Fa parte di questa band Jimmy LeCompt, il fratello di John LeCompt. Il gruppo ha suonato per due anni affianco a band come The Acacia Strain, Every Time I Die, Unearth, Straight Line Stitch, The Chariot, Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster, Showbread, Day Of Fire, My Children My Bride, As Cities Burn e The Handshake Murders. La band si è sciolta a causa degli stili di vita che non rispecchiavano ciò che era stato detto. Nel 2009, i cinque sono tornati insieme con un nuovo sentimento di passione. Sono diventati ufficialmente un ministero, qualcosa fatta non per il beneficio personale. Il Christian Metal e i Living Sacrifice hanno avuto una grande influenza su questa band, che, il 27 giugno del 2009, è salita, come avevano fatto in precedenza anche gli Evanescence, sul palco del Vino's a Little Rock. Per lo show della reunion, i Dreading Sundown hanno avuto come compagni gli Ashes Of Augustine.
