Wesley Louden Borland (born February 7, 1975) is an American rock musician and artist. He is best known as the current guitarist and backing vocalist of the nu-metal band Limp Bizkit and as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the alternative and industrial metal band Black Light Burns and the metal band Big Dumb Face.

Borland is known for his sonic experimentation and elaborate visual appearance, which has included face and body paint, masks and uniforms. He has drawn album covers and created artwork for many of his music projects as well as oil paintings. Borland was voted number 37 in Total Guitar's Top 100 Guitarists of All Time. Borland formed the label Edison Sound, which releases his own music projects.

Wes worked with Amy Lee back in 2003 when he was a part of supergroup, The Damning Well. Amy recorded guest vocals on their song Power, but due to issues with Amy's management the song has never been released.

In an interview with MTV on November 14, 2003, Wes expressed interest in producing Evanescence's next record after Fallen.

Vin1.jpg I would like to give it some of that old-world vibe so it sounds like a band of gypsies. I want to give more depth and richness to the guitars, but at the same time make them not as processed and more organic.[1] Vin2.jpg

In another interview with MTV 3 days later, Amy mentioned how she was "talking to a lot of people" about collaborations on their second album, including Wes Borland and Shaun Morgan of Seether.[2] Ultimately, the collaborations didn't happen for The Open Door.

In 2004, Wes addressed rumors that he wouldn't be joining Evanescence as a permanent member:

Vin1.jpg I didn't think that I needed to say anything about this, but to be perfectly clear and to address many rumors I have heard, I have not, nor will I ever join the band Evanescence. Danny Lohner and I worked with Amy Lee on the 'Underworld' soundtrack, talked about working with her sometime again in the future, and no plans of doing so as of right now. We are however in the first stages of doing some songs with Rob Zombie, and that looks like it's going to be good. So once again, I am not joining Evanescence.[3] Vin2.jpg
