There are rumours that [[Amy Lee]] is in the early process of writing new material for the follow up to [[The Open Door]]. Songs that may be included are [[Together Again]] and [[If You Don't Mind]]but this is unlikely as they are outtakes to The Open Door but anything is possible.
No official announcements have been made in regards to a followup to 2006's [[The Open Door]]. Amy herself has noted that she has begun writing material, though she has not said what for.

[[Your Love]] is being performed as an acoustic on the second season of legends and lyrics episode 116 expected around September - October 2009. It is unknown whether it will be released but most acoustics that have been professionally recorded have been released as singles i.e. ([[Fallen]] - [[Bring Me To Life]], [[Going Under]], [[My Immortal]] and [[Everybody's Fool]] (small recording, very hard to find) and [[The Open Door]] - [[Call Me When You're Sober]], [[Lithium]], [[All That I'm Living For]] (an exception as Sweet Sacrifice was displaced in its place), [[Good Enough]] and [[Weight of the World]] (unknown) )

Hopefully the band announce some news of a third album and it is expected that the band are recording due to the recording of one acoustic but we will have to be patient and wait.

[The new songs] are definitely different. I feel like I'm going back to my really old roots. They have more of my folky and Celtic influence than ever before. And it's not all sad -- it's nothing I would categorize as Evanescence.

In the interview with Spin.com (below), [[Amy Lee]] talks about new songs!
A new song titled [[Your Love]] was performed acoustically for an episode of "Legends and Lyrics" expected to air around September-October 2009. It is unknown whether it will be released independently of the [[Evanescence]] project or not. There are rumors that Amy's next project will be a solo endeavor—these are simply speculation, however, as no information has been released aside from the aforementioned spin.com interview.
