Co-founder and lead singer of Evanescence. Born in Riverside California on December 13, 1981, moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, Rockford, Illinois and finally stopped in Little Rock, Arkansas. Responsible for many of Evanescence’s hard hitting lyrics.

Collaborator on many projects, such as the Underworld project with Maynard James Keenan, lead singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle (scrapped) The Punisher Soundtrack’s Broken with Seether (where she also co-produced the string arrangement), Big Dismal’s Missing You, and David Hodges’ Breathe and Fall Into You.

John Lee, her father, is a well-known radio DJ on "The River" in Little Rock. Amy provides the image for the band and does most of the interviews. Ben Moody discovered Amy Lee’s voice in summer camp in 1994 when she performed Meatloaf’s I Would Do Anything For Love. After that, the rest is history. She is currently one of the most popular and sought after voices in music today. It is rumored that she can dance quite well in a monkey suit.
