Vanish was the name of a full-length album project that Amy and Ben were planning to have released after the 1998 EP, Evanescence EP. It was planned to be released in late 1998 through Bigwig Enterprises in collaboration with Gotee Records.[2][3] It was going to be produced by Michael Tait and Chad Chapin, and the release date was pushed back to summer 1999.[1] Little is known about this project except that the artwork was to feature elements from Amy's paintings. The scheme was "very dark and green and drippy[4]." The idea was eventually scrapped and Origin was the full-length album that was released much later.[4]
