Multiplatinum band who Evanescence has been compared to in terms of sound especially for Evanescence’s first hit single “Bring Me to Life”.
Also, mentioned as an inspiration for the band.
When Evanescence were in the studio recording Fallen, Linkin Park were also in the same building recording their second album, Meteora.
In an interview with Revolver magazine in 2004, lead singer, Chester Bennington, talked about meeting Evanescence in the studio, and how Amy explained to him that their label tried to make them sound like Linkin Park;[1]
Chester Bennington died on July 20, 2017 after committing suicide. Evanescence's song, Imperfection, is partly inspired by the event as Amy explained that the song is about "for all the people we’ve lost, all the people who we could lose, to suicide and depression."
