Charity auction held by Food Bank For New York City and The Lunchbox Fund, which helps fighting hunger in New York and Soweto, South Africa by selling unique lunch boxes created by celebrities.
Amy's 2007 Lunch Box
Amy Lee participated in the 2007 auction by putting up for bidding a lunch box created by herself. The auction started on December 7th at midnight on "TheLunchboxAuction.org" and it ended on December 21st. The item was sold for 700$. This is what Amy posted on EvThreads regarding this event:
hey! listen, I just wanted you to know that the sides of that thing are all awesome stripey, and underside shows the bottom of the feet of the animals. I painted that lunchbox for 2 weeks and I think it freakin rules! Anyway, it was fun and I hope it helps some hungry kids. I just saw the pics and just wanted to say that. See ya!

Description: On the front side there are animals with big black eyes (reminiscent of the style used on The Open Door's Journal). A blue sky and white clouds with yellow doodles are on the background. The sides and the top are decorated with green diagonal stripes, alternating between dark green and light green. [2]. On the bottom of the lunch box, the inferior part of the animal's feet are shown.
Amy's 2008 Lunch Box
Amy Lee also participated in the 2008 event. The auction started on December 11th at midnight and it ended on December 18 at midnight. Artists such as Cameron Diaz, Seether, and Yoko Ono participated on this auction. Amy's lunch box received the highest bidding of all the ones that were put up for sale, and it was sold to "YukiQueen" for a price of 4,185.00$[3]. This is what Amy posted on EvThreads regarding the lunch box:
Hey everybody! Happy holidays.
I'm glad you like my lunchbox, I spent about a week of my life obsessing over it. Its funny, everytime I finish one of these things I'm like, 'Rats I really want to keep this now!' Anyone ever see that pair of Ugs I did a few years ago? I collected about a million little care bears, beanies, legos and whatever else, then sewed and glued them all over the surface of those things. They were like giant transformer feet. I loved those! Anyway, not the point. The lunchbox auction is a great cause and the proceeds go to feeding hungry people in New York and South Africa. And hey, if this art stuff is too rich for your blood, maybe go help out at the soup kitchen for an hour or two this year. Or bake a pie for your doorman. Everybody likes pie, and those who don't like pie still like knowing there's someone out there who cares about them enough to make them a pie. […] love, Amy. [4] |
Description: On the front side there is a cloth containing a seahorse's head. The rest of the item is decorated by other squares of cloth containing either different shades of blue, other smaller seahorses or octopuses, or small bubbles or starfishes.
