Something lost and never seen
Everytime I start to believe, something's raped and taken from me, from me
Life's always gotta be messin with me
[Amy Lee]
You wanna see the light?
[Korn]
Can't they chill and let me be free?
[Amy Lee]
So do I
[Korn]
Can't I take away all this pain?
[Amy Lee]
You wanna see the light?
[Korn] I try to everynight in vain, in vain
[Korn&Amy Lee]
Sometimes I cannot take this place
Sometimes it's my life I can't taste
Sometimes I cannot feel my face
You'll never see me fall from grace

Korn (stylized as KoЯn) is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California.

Evanescence covered their song Thoughtless during the Fallen tour in 2004. This is what the singer Jonathan Davis said about the cover:

Yeah, we did a couple of shows with [Evanescence] in Europe and [they] played it," he told The Blitz 99.7 FM. "It's a huge, huge thing when an artist thinks of doing a cover of one of our songs, it just blows us away, and she [Evanescence singer Amy Lee] does it so beautifully. She's told me time and time again that she's a huge KORN fan. What was really cool was that in Europe, they were supposed to headline over us and she refused to do it and made us headline over them. There's a just a lot of respect there. I think she's a great girl and I love that cover — it came out beautifully. The way I hear things in my head sometimes, the more [time I spend] in a heavy band, I'm more about melody and shit like that, so… when I heard [Evanescence's version of 'Thoughtless'], it was really cool. The melodies really pop out.[1]

Amy Lee also sang a duet with KoЯn @ MTV studios in Times Square, New York City.[2] The song Freak on a Leash was published as a single.

Both bands have remained good friends, and will often watch each other's set if they are playing at the same festival on the same day. In 2007 they went on tour together on the Family Values Tour.

On April 5, 2022, they announced an 18-date summer tour with Evanescence that took place in the US from August to September.[3] During this tour, Amy Lee joined the band onstage to sing Freak on a Leash.

In March 2024, Korn announced a 30th Anniversary Show with Evanescence and other bands as guests that took place on October 5 at BMO Stadium, in Los Angeles, CA.[4] Amy joined the stage to duet on Freak on a Leash.
