Evanescence is the first EP by Evanescence, when it was Amy Lee and Ben Moody, released in January 1999[2][4][3] at a concert at Vino's in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a printed CD-R. The EP sold for $15 each, and sold out that night. The EP was sold to friends and family as support before it got sold at Vino's, in December 1998. Amy said in 2011 that this EP was one the compilation of demos from when Evanescence started out.[5]
The EP is very rare; only 100 copies were made.[4]
The cover features the sculpture Angel of Grief by William Wetmore Story.

Outtakes
- "Give Unto Me" - Written by Amy. The original version, later adapted into an instrumental for the Sound Asleep EP.
- "My Immortal" - First recorded demo of the song. Features Amy playing piano with vocals.

- "Me & You" [citation needed] - Speculated to be an outtake, but most likely a result of miscommunication. Most probably "Unknown Title" played at Vino's Bar in May 1999.
