General Information

Fallen: Track 6
Anywhere But Home: Track 11
Written by: A. Lee, B. Moody, D. Hodges, and R. Gray

Originally recorded as a demo and revamped as track #6 on Fallen. Rocky Gray is credited with writing the song and the rest of the band revamped it for Fallen. The original was called “My Tourniquet” when Rocky was in the band Soul Embraced. The original was a track on an album called “For the Incomplete”. Amy screams “I long to die”. That line comes from the Danes/DiCaprio version of Romeo and Juliet.

This track was originally by Soul Embraced and was reworked by Evanescence. The quote "I long to die" is a sample by Claire Danes from Romeo & Juliet. On Fallen this track is titled 'Tourniquet' but on 2002 Demos it's called 'My Tourniquet'.

Lyrics

I tried to kill the pain
But only brought more so much more
I lay dying
And I'm pouring crimson regret and betrayal

I'm dying dying
Praying praying
Bleeding bleeding
And screaming
Am I too lost to be saved?
Am I too lost?

My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation

Do you remember me?
Lost for so long
Will you be on the other side?
Will you forget me?

I'm dying dying
Praying praying
Bleeding bleeding
And screaming
Am I too lost to be saved?
Am I too lost?

My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation

[I long to die..]

My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation
My God, my tourniquet
Return to me salvation

My wounds cry for the grave
My soul cries for deliverance
Will I be denied?
Christ - tourniquet - my suicide
