Band di Rocky Gray formata a Little Rock, Arkansas, nel 2005. Tutto ciò che chiunque ha sentito di loro sono tre demo strumentali che possono essere trovati nel loro sito ufficiale. Nel 2006 questi demo, che la band aveva registrato per pubblicarli sotto il nome dei The Burning, vennero usati come nuove canzoni dei Soul Embraced. Rocky ha detto che farà qualcosa con i The Burning in futuro, ma che ora è concentrato su altri progetti. Non è stato ancora designato un batterista.
