La secidesima ed ultima traccia della Deluxe Edition dell'omonimo album degli Evanescence. In un'intervista con Spin.com Amy annuncia il nome di tre nuove canzoni del terzo album, tra queste c'è anche "Secret Door": una ballata suonata all'arpa. Il 19 giugno, Amy aveva pubblicato un video su twitvid intitolato "...Secret Door..." nel quale suonava un pezzo lento e calmo all'arpa.

Durante l'intervista su Soundrop, tenuta dagli stessi fan, Amy ha svelato ciò che ha ispirato la canzone:

Stavo facendo un sogno ricorrente. Ogni volta che mi svegliavo, tutto quello che riuscivo a ricordare era una porta rotonda, ricoperta di edera, e un sentimento molto forte d'amore verso qualcosa che stava oltre di essa... Ho scritto una canzone che parla dell'amore dentro un sogno e dell'idea che la realtà è quella che scegli tu.
