There are rumours that Amy Lee is in the early process of writing new material for the follow up to The Open Door. Songs that may be included are Together Again and If You Don't Mindbut this is unlikely as they are outtakes to The Open Door but anything is possible.

Your Love is being performed as an acoustic on the second season of legends and lyrics episode 116 expected around September - October 2009. It is unknown whether it will be released but most acoustics that have been professionally recorded have been released as singles i.e. (Fallen - Bring Me To Life, Going Under, My Immortal and Everybody's Fool (small recording, very hard to find) and The Open Door - Call Me When You're Sober, Lithium, All That I'm Living For (an exception as Sweet Sacrifice was displaced in its place), Good Enough and Weight of the World (unknown) )

Hopefully the band announce some news of a third album and it is expected that the band are recording due to the recording of one acoustic but we will have to be patient and wait.

In the interview with Spin.com (below), Amy Lee talks about new songs!

Evanescence's Amy Lee: "It's Not All Sad" (Spin.com):

On new songs and a solo album: "I need to show that I’m more than a one trick pony. I'm writing here at the house by myself and it's been really good. But I'd really like to do something different next. [The new songs] are definitely different. I feel like I'm going back to my really old roots. They have more of my folky and Celtic influence than ever before. And it's not all sad -- it's nothing I would categorize as Evanescence."
