David Eggar (also known as Dave Eggar) is cellist/composer. He has performed with Evanescence in acoustic shows and has written songs with Amy for the score of the film War Story (2014).

Evanescence and Amy Lee

Dave accompanied Amy Lee and rhythm guitarist John LeCompt at an acoustic performance in London and Barcelona during the Fall 2006 promo tour for The Open Door.[1] and performed with them for AOL Sessions, Yahoo! Music and VH1 Unplugged. In October 2007 he performed with Amy on The View, Fuse's The Sauce and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

He was part of the string musicians who recorded the strings arrangement for the band's third album, Evanescence.[4]

In 2013, he and Amy performed a song titled "Find a Way" which they performed together in November 2013 at a Wellspring House benefit concert and in March 2014 at Bluegrass Underground.[5][6] It was originally written for the 2010 action fantasy film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, but didn't make it to the film.[7]

In 2015 he, Amy and Chuck Palmer composed the score to Hammerstep's short film Indigo Grey: The Passage.[8] Later that year he played cello on Amy's cover of Portishead's It's a Fire for her Recover EP.[9]

In 2016, he played cello on the piano/vocal version of Even in Death released on Lost Whispers.[10][11] He also performed on Amy's children's album, Dream Too Much.

In 2017, he was credited as string arranger on Amy Lee's Love Exists.[12]

In 2018, the soundtrack of Blind was released, featuring songs from Amy, Dave and Chuck Palmer. Later that year, Dave and Amy collaborated again on the song All About Anna from his duo Cellogram (formed by Eggar and Chuck Palmer).

In May 2021, Eggar performed cello on the live version of Far From Heaven on Driven to Perform Livestream Concert by Cooper Tire.
