Bastyr University is a private alternative medicine university with campuses in Kenmore, Washington, and San Diego, in the United States.

The university's chapel in the Kenmore campus was used by Evanescence to record the orchestra for their second studio album, The Open Door.[1][2] The 22-piece orchestra was arranged by David Campbell and contracted by David Sabee.[3]
