Unfortunately, the Kill System project never had an official distribution deal despite their commendable effort. Despite John's heavier musical history, Kill System proved to be much more melodic, making the project a big fan favorite.

===Mourningside===
During Evanescence's creative hiatus, John (on guitar / background vocals) formulated what would later be known as [[Mourningside]]. Members include Jack Wiese (ex-lead of the.5th.element) providing lead vocals, fellow Evanescence member Rocky Gray on drums, Jeff Bowie (Becoming Saints) on bass and Devin Castle (Eva Braun / Ashes of Augustine) on guitar. They have since played shows in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as in Little Rock, Arkansas, gaining not only a strong fanbase in the States, but among Evanescence fans all around the world.

Like Kill System, Mourningside has yet to gain an official distribution deal but has released a collective 7 track EP. Their debut song, "Painting The Eyes," was featured on a multi-band promotional CD distributed at Dirty Elf Fest 2005 in St. Louis, Missouri.

===Machina===

In 2005, John began collaborating with ex-'''Future Leaders of the World''' lead Phil Tayler. They are currently working on new material and plan on touring with hopes of releasing an album in late 2006. As a band, Machina includes Phil Tayler (vocals), John LeCompt (guitars), Jack Wiese (guitars), Thad Ables (bass) and [[Rocky Gray]] (drums). With new material and new members, the band decided to change their title from "Future Leaders Of the World" to "Machina" in Spring / Summer 2006.

Contrary to popular belief, this particular "Machina" is pronounced "mah-shee-nah" and ''not'' "mah-kee-nah" as generally spoken.

:The current photo is better than the Open Door photo that was up before, but I can't get a particular photoshopped version of the current photo out of my head. :) I generally favor simple headshots that look natural (not posed) and pleasant similar to John's current photo. Her family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, Rockford, Illinois, and finally stopped in Little Rock, Arkansas. Responsible for many of Evanescence’s hard hitting lyrics and is the main songwriter on the new album, [[The Open Door]]. Amy provides the image for the band and does most of the interviews. Ben Moody discovered Amy Lee’s voice in summer camp in 1994 when she performed Meatloaf’s ''"I'd Do Anything For Love."'' After that, the rest is history. She is currently one of the most popular and sought after voices in music today.

Lee has a trademark neo-goth style, marked by her occasional use of gothic make-up and taste for Victorian-styled clothing (her favorite era of time). She dyes her hair jet black though her hair is actually darkish brown. Her eyes are greyish blue but she is roumored to use blue contacts. She also designs many of her own clothes, including those worn in the music video for Going Under and the dress she wore at the 2004 Grammy awards. After she designed it she chose Japanese designer H. Naoto to make it for her, although she does sometimes make her own clothes. In concerts, she often wears a corset and fishnets. Amy used to have a notable piercing on her left eyebrow which she has taken out and had re-pierced a few times, but she took it out for good sometime in mid-2005.

Many fans praise Lee for her refusal to emulate other celebrities by using sex appeal in her music. She has stated on a number of occasions that she would never flash her breasts or engage in other publicity stunts that would draw attention to herself. In fact, in the music video for [[Everybody's Fool]], she aimed to mock such artists by suggesting celebrities who use sex to appeal to an audience, but are, in fact, merely peddling "lies" (the unifying theme of the music video).

In her personal life, she enjoys being a girl. '''Ben Moody''' (born January 22, 1981, in Little Rock, Arkansas as ''Ben Robert Moody III'') was formerly the lead guitarist for Evanescence from 1996 to October 2003. It all started when he saw Amy playing Meatloaf's ''I Would Do Anything For Love'' at a Christian youth summer camp. The two became friends, and the rest is rock music history. Wrote many of the most popular [[Evanescence]] songs including [[My Immortal]]. His father is a prominent photographer in the Little Rock area.

Ben left the band in October 2003 after creative differences caused a rift between he and Amy. The two are reported to have been in a relationship sometime in the past, and this relationship is actually what inspired most of the songs in Evanescence's pre-2003 repertoire (see [[Going Under]]). In the past, Amy would only say that the songs were about an "abusive relationship" with an un-named person.

He has worked or is working on many different projects post-Evanescence. '''Terry Belsamo''' (born October 9, 1973, in Jacksonville, Florida) can most prominantly be seen and heard in the band's [[Anywhere But Home]] (2004) Live CD/DVD and now on the band's new album [[The Open Door]] (2006). His style and sound have most definately made an impact on the band, and with astounding results. He has become [[Amy Lynn Lee |Amy Lee]]'s main collaborator for Evanescence and co-wrote most of Evanescence's new album including the album's first single, [[Call Me When You're Sober]].

Terry made his start in the music world as an early member of the now infamous Limp Bizkit. He left a few years before the recording of Bizkit's now classic album 3 Dollar Bill Y'All (1997), being replaced by Wes Borland. In late 1999, Terry joined up with fellow Jacksonville rockers; Scooter Ward, Sam McCandless, Jeremy Marshall and Kelly Hayes. Otherwise known as the monsters of Alternative Metal, [[Cold]].

Terry remained with Cold writing and recording with them for their epic yet underrated albums 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage (2000) and Year of the Spider (2003). Near the end of his stint with Cold, the band had joined Evanescence as an opening act on the 2003 Nintendo Fusion Tour. This was of course before the abrupt departure of Evanescence's guitarist, Ben Moody. Terry had filled in for Moody on stage with Evanescence after Moody left during Evanescence's European tour, and when Cold's future suddenly became questionable, Terry jumped ship signing on permanently with Evanescence.

In November 2005, Terry suffered a stroke from a torn neck artery which landed him in the hospital for an unspecified amount of time. Indeed, Headbanging was the cause of the stroke. ''"They had to do an MRI. When they did the MRI, the doctor came back in the room and he was like, 'Have you ever had any neck injuries like from a car accident or anything?' And I was like, 'No.' Then we were like, 'Other than banging his head all day and every night for an hour and a half.' I’ve always had weird thing in my neck doing that, but I never would have thought it would have given me a stroke."'' The song features [[Paul McCoy]], the lead singer of 12 Stones.

The song was originally intended to be without the male vocals when Wind-up felt that it was best to put a male vocalist into the song for the Daredevil soundtrack. The version that featured Paul McCoy stuck.

In a magazine interview, Chester Bennington of [[Linkin Park]] said that Mike Shinoda was originally asked to be featured on the song. Linkin Park was recording Meteora in the same studio that Evanescence was recording Fallen.

The video is a live performance/action video and was directed by Philip Stolzl. The video was filmed in Romania in January 2003. It features Amy in a night gown and barefoot, in her room, inside a tall building in the city at night. The rest of the band, and Paul McCoy, are playing on a higher floor of the building. She climbs out of the window of her room and begins to climb the building, passing many windows while venturing to the window that featured the room with the band and McCoy. Right before the bridge of the song featuring a duet with both McCoy and Lee, Lee ends up falling off the building but managing to hang on to the ledge that she was standing on. McCoy pulls open the window and tries to save her, but can't, and amy falls off the building. At the very end of the video, we see Lee back in bed again: it was all a nightmare. This is symbolic because it features someone trying to find someone that will 'wake her and save her'.

The video gained huge popularity in 2003 and clips of it were featured everywhere, including MTV's '''Big Urban Myth Show''' where clips of amy waking up and walking around outside on the ledge were prominently featured on any and all sleep related myths.

Call Me When You're Sober officially went for radio adds on August 7th, 2006, but the song had been leaked on July 30th, 2006 forcing radio stations to play the song early.

The video was filmed in Berlin, Germany, but most of it was filmed in Los Angeles, California in May of 2003. It follows the band performing at what can be assumed is a concert in which they’re the headliners, Amy swimming and singing underwater, and Ben being questioned relentlessly by the media (the media’s constant questions about the band’s religious affiliation inspired that part in the video). Evil Dead, one of Ben’s favorite movies inspires the use of the zombies in the video; normal people attending the gig transform into said zombies throughout the course of the video. The underwater scene was Amy's idea. She also designed two of the costumes she's wearing in the video. The crimson corset cost her $2,500, the biggest amount of money she’d ever spent on a piece of clothing. The other outfit had been stitched by Amy herself. "It's white and has a lot of shreds. It reminds me of something someone who died would wear.” The idea of them came to her while she was nursing an illness in a hotel in Los Angeles.

Directed by [[Paul Fedor]], the video features two Amys, one in the water (assuming the "sadness" role) in a black dress singing to her alter ego in white (assuming the "happiness" role) who, through a process of internal torment, conquers her sadness. The video also features prominent shots of the rest of the band, including new member [[Tim McCord]], all dressed in black.

Shot in L.A. in late October of 2006, and released some time late in November. The video leaked on Thursday, November 23 (Thanksgiving). Due to unknown issues—apparently caused by the label—the video was released internationally late in November, however the US had to wait almost 2 weeks for stations to start playing it.

The video bears a striking similarity to AFI's ''<nowiki>'</nowiki>[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Like_Winter Love Like Winter]<nowiki>'</nowiki>'', released early in november, because of their snowy forest sets and underwater moments. AFI's video was directed by Marc Webb and features lead singer, Davey Havok, falling through ice to a woman who is "The beautiful embodiment of hopelessness".

The "Call Me When You're Sober" single has had a bit of embarrassment in Australia and New Zealand. The spine of the single incorrectly spells the title of the track, misspelling the word "You're" by leaving out the 'e'; making "you'r". Also the band name "Evanescence" is spelled as "Evanesence". The single has now been re-released with the correct spelling, and is for sale at most Australian CD shops now, although some shops in Australia and New Zealand are still selling the original version.

Co-founder and lead singer of Evanescence. Born in Riverside, California on December 13, 1981, her family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, Rockford, Illinois, and finally stopped in Little Rock, Arkansas. Responsible for many of Evanescence’s hard hitting lyrics and is the main songwriter on the new album, [[The Open Door]]. Amy provides the image for the band and does most of the interviews. Ben Moody discovered Amy Lee’s voice in summer camp in 1994 when she performed Meatloaf’s ''"I'd Do Anything For Love."'' After that, the rest is history. She is currently one of the most popular and sought after voices in music today.

Lee has a trademark neo-goth style, marked by her occasional use of gothic make-up and taste for Victorian-styled clothing (her favorite era of time). She dyes her hair jet black though her hair is actually darkish brown. Her eyes are greyish blue but she is roumored to use blue contacts. She also designs many of her own clothes, including those worn in the music video for Going Under and the dress she wore at the 2004 Grammy awards. After she designed it she chose Japanese designer H. Naoto to make it for her, although she does sometimes make her own clothes. In concerts, she often wears a corset and fishnets. Amy used to have a notable piercing on her left eyebrow which she has taken out and had re-pierced a few times, but she took it out for good sometime in mid-2005.

Many fans praise Lee for her refusal to emulate other celebrities by using sex appeal in her music. She has stated on a number of occasions that she would never flash her breasts or engage in other publicity stunts that would draw attention to herself. In fact, in the music video for [[Everybody's Fool]], she aimed to mock such artists by suggesting celebrities who use sex to appeal to an audience, but are, in fact, merely peddling "lies" (the unifying theme of the music video).

In her personal life, she enjoys being a girl. Q2: When I asked for Categories... I ask for the MediaWiki Feature ''Categories'', that allows you organize the pages in a better way, where as I know, MediaWiki automatically generates a list of what pages are in the category ''XYZ'', and you don't need to modify the Category page each time you add a page to it. Alright [[User:Whisperer|Whisperer]], you and me to the death! :) I think the words near the end of the song are "stay in love mmhmm," while you think they are "I want to stay in love with me." I'm basing my opinion on what I hear on TOD and the length of time she has to sing the words. The number of words you have listed would have to be sung quite fast to fit in this space in the song. I offer this recent live performance on Letterman as proof (see 3:25). [http://youtube.com/watch?v=Xy7dhSqLPTY 12/14/06 Letterman] "Mmhmm" can be sung/hummed with a closed mouth, "with me" cannot.
