Amy Lee is credited to have worked on the movie’s soundtrack (her name even appears on the credits). However, her voice was not used in the soundtrack. According to a KNAC article, there were 4 songs that Amy worked on. The titles of three of them are "Now I Know," "Down in the Lab," "Death Dealer's Descent." She may have also worked on "Falling Through the Sky." All of those tracks made the album without her vocals. Amy stated in an old interview (MuchMusic 2003) that her vocals weren't used because of "legal stuff."
General Information
Written by: A. Lee, T. Balsamo

The Open Door: Track 1

Described as a song about "a post-relationship catharsis that head-dives from an otherworldly intro into a hard-driving thrash of hard rock guitars and soaring rock vocals" by Evanescence.com.

The listener is captivated by Amy’s universe as the very first notes start off. Amy repeatedly takes a deep breath in order to absorb us for an hour. Terry’s guitar part flirts with high notes, as Amy’s voice follows the same tonality path.

Amy's description of the song: "It's the one song on The Open Door that's about the same abusive relationship which was the source of all the songs on Fallen. It was appropriate to put this song at the beginning, but it comes from a much stronger standpoint than Fallen. It's not saying, 'I'm trapped in fear and somebody save me.' It's saying, 'Fear is only in our minds ... I'm not afraid anymore.'" VH1.com

Single
It is rumored that Sweet Sacrifice will be the third single from The Open Door. There has been a lot of talk about it but no information as to whether or not it will be the third single.

Lyrics
It's true, we're all a little insane
But it's so clear
Now that I am unchained

Fear is only in our minds
Taking over all the time
Fear is only in our minds but it's taking over all the time

You poor sweet innocent thing
Dry your eyes and testify
You know you live to break me - don't deny
Sweet sacrifice

One day I'm gonna forget your name
And one sweet day, you're gonna drown in my lost pain

Fear is only in our minds
I'm your sacrifice.

[I dream in darkness

Do you wonder why you hate?
Are you still too weak to survive your mistakes?
That I have gone down this road
Only to find that it ends
But lookin' back
There is one thing that I know
I can't make it all alone again
'Cause I’m too weak to stand on my own
As I fall into you

Just catch me as I fall
She did back up vocals on Big Dismal's song 'Missing You' off of their 2003 debut release CD, Believe.

Did some vocals on the Underworld soundtrack in 2003 but after some issues with her record label her voice was never used. Her name still appears in the credits though.

Amy is featured on Seether's song 'Broken. The song was released as a single in 2004 and can be found on The Punisher soundtrack and on Seether's Disclaimer II album.

The TRL Crashers consist of Evanescence fans who are ardently devoted to getting Call Me When You're Sober on MTV's TRL countdown. The original mission of the TRL Crasher's was to simply get Evanescence onto the countdown, but expanded into a much bigger plan of actually obtaining the #1 spot, after more and more Ev fans joined the team.

On 08/28/06, CMWYS not only became Ev's first #1 video on the countdown, but also a first #1 for the bands label, Wind Up Records.
