Hello everyone. My name is Brittany. Please don't call me Britt unless you want your head chopped off. ;) I'm 17 years old and live in Florida.

I'm a huge [[Evanescence]] and [[We Are The Fallen]] fan. I also like to listen to [[Within Temptation]], [[Nightwish]], [[Lacuna Coil]], Epica, Leaves' Eyes, and lots of other bands. But my absolute favorites would have to be Evanescence, Tarja, and Dommin.

I'm a songwriter and I've got a few songs written, probably enough for an EP. My artist name is going to be Evanescent or Nightingale, because Evanescence and Leaves' Eyes are such big inspirations for my writing.
'''We Are The Fallen''' is rock band formed in 2009, by former [[Evanescence]] members [[Ben Moody]], [[Rocky Gray]] and [[John LeCompt]], former American Idol contestant [[Carly Smithson]] and [[Marty O'Brien]] from Disturbed.
Originally We Are The Fallen intended to release a few songs every two months for a year and a half. Instead the band signed a record deal with <I>Universal Republic</I> on October 28, 2009 and announced a debut album for an early 2010 release. On December 12, 2009 We Are The Fallen announced that they had finished recording the album. The band has also announced via Twitter a support tour with H.I.M.<ref>http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=133398</ref> and the release of Bury Me Alive via iTunes. We Are The Fallen also has a song titled Without You streaming on their website and MySpace page. Both of these songs are available on their album, Tear The World Down.

[[Image:The_Evanescence_Reference.png|thumb|The Evanescence Reference]]{{lang}}

'''The Evanescence Reference''' started out as a two-post thread on [[EvBoard.com]] as a collaboration between the moderators of the message board. It was created both to teach new fans about the facts and to re-teach the seasoned veterans what they might have forgotten.

==First Edition==
The original thread was two posts long (the first post was the first half of the alphabet, the second was the rest) that was only editable by staff members. It included much of the information on this website—including mini band member biographies, information about songs and much more. The only known archive of this is an 18-page printed copy as it existed in July of 2004.

==Wiki==
Sometime in May of 2006, [[User:DhammaSeeker|Dhammaseeker]] came up with the idea of making a wiki version. That is, a comprehensive database of all things Evanescence that could be easily edited by anyone. The wiki went public on July 19th, 2006.

The Evanescence Reference now has 600 registered users and almost 6,000 edits. It is linked to by all major fan websites including [[EvThreads]], Evanescence's official message board.

==The Information==
Wikipedia still does not consider The Evanescence Reference to be a reliable source due to lack of reliable references. Put simply, the fact that not all information on here can be accurately 'referenced' in the traditional sense just shows that there is more to this band than news articles and interviews.
Meant to describe something that doesn't actually exist. Generally refers to Evanescence music compilations released by independent companies.

== Ultra Rare Trax Volumes 1, 2 & 3 ==

In 2003, one of the more elaborate and competent compilations was produced. Ultra Rare Trax features most of Evanescence's pre-fallen era Demos and EPs in very good CD quality. The CDs come in Digipack style cases with [[Fallen]] era promo photos (mostly of Amy) and are of moderate professional quality.

The compilations state that they were produced by [[Wind-up Records]] "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY. NOT FOR SALE", however the presence of the last track on vol. 3 suggests otherwise. They were made in Hong Kong.

I'm a songwriter and I've got a few songs written, probably enough for an EP. My artist name is going to be Evanescent or Nightingale, because Evanescence and Leaves' Eyes are such big inspirations for my writing.

You'll most likely find me lurking around, making grammatical, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization corrections around the website.

Want to know more? Just ask. I'll probably answer your question.

Hi.. You can do that.. you can start translating, create new pages with the same title in english, but, at the ending, add "/it".. example.. if you wanna start translating the main page.. go to the english Main page (http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page) and then type in the adress bar "/it" (http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page/it)... then it will show you a message saying "There is currently no text in this page, you can search for this page title in other pages or edit this page", now you can clic on EDIT button, and start doing it.. you can copy the source code from the english one, and start replacing words... please, check out the source codes from the other languages (like spanish) and you'll see how you should do it..
I alreadi fixed some links.. so, after editing the links, you just have to move the pages.. how?.. well, you go to the page and click on the tab MOVE, so you type the exact title in english, adding the "/it".. example.. i moved the CANZONI page..

I believe so. I don't know why, but for some reason the coding for the images was spilling over into the next categories and not lining up at all with the text. Maybe it's just in firefox, but it looked bad. Perhaps just a text version would suffice?

There has been a a few more updates about the Third album from posts on Evthreads and interviews. I was wandering if it was appropriate to update this page a little more with what information such as style and musical direction.

For example this snippet from a post on Evthreads from Amy Lee

"I don't want to give away too much about what it will sound like, because so much will change before the end, but its... not what you would expect. Its definitely not happy married music, but its not like I'm dying the whole time either. Its dark, sarcastic, fun, strange, familiar and very different at the same time."

Theres also been some interviews with questions in regards to the bands follow up to The Open Door with more information on what them usic is going to sound like.

- Gunn

Can you add in the L&L is expected January - April 2009. The show is due to air around January according to Facebook Legends and Lyrics, DVD premieres at some point in April according to evthreads.
To be honest I would not trust Karrang. there not listed on the Virgin website and they are still listed in the EMI website and the Wind up records website** [[User:Sparky|Sparky]] 02:31, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
== Wondering about lots of things ==

I had a odd moment when i read about that the third album would be put through virgin, would that mean they arnt with wind-up, or is it just another record label for international release.
Also there seems to be alot of silence lately with the third album, i know last week terry and tim arrived in Nyc for recording, but theres nothing said for ages.
Lastly i would like to change the format of the "Third Album" page, i think since were getting closer to the relase we should set it out more formally as if it has already been released.Like Fallen/The Open Door have one big description on the album, Then Track Listing and B-Sides (Add more tracks later just have the two that are officially confirmed as an Evanescence Album Project) Line-Up, Guests (Add more later).Just to give it a Album Page Feel.

Thanks - [[User:Mattyb97|Mattyb97]]

Um I think what happened with that was it was a mistake. There not listed under the virgin website (the last time I checked), there listed under the EMI website and wind-ups website

and i think it may be a good idea to arrange the page to an album type page. [[User:Sparky|Sparky]] 02:31, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
The man (woman?) has a good thought. Virgin could be an international release.

And are we sure Your Love is an Ev song and not an Amy song? I don't think it was confirmed...

I believe so. I don't know why, but for some reason the coding for the images was spilling over into the next categories and not lining up at all with the text. Maybe it's just in firefox, but it looked bad. Perhaps just a text version would suffice?
Theres also been some interviews with questions in regards to the bands follow up to The Open Door with more information on what them usic is going to sound like.

Early official announcements were made in regards to a followup to 2006's [[The Open Door]] where Amy herself had noted that she has begun writing material and the third album was expected sometime in 2010.

"We're currently working on new material that I'm extremely excited about. I believe that to make great music you have to give yourself the freedom to evolve. I don't see the point in making the same record twice,
so I always want to challenge myself to make something better, stronger, and more interesting than before. That takes time, but it's worth the wait for me. Hopefully, it will be for the fans too. Look out for new music next year..."<ref>http://www.evanescencefan.net/will-the-real-slim-shady-please-stand-up/</ref>

In later posts on Evthreads as of 2009 she gave a vague indication of what new material for Evanescence could sound like and the album process.

"I don't want to give away too much about what it will sound like, because so much will change before the end, but its... not what you would expect. Its definitely not happy married music, but its not like I'm dying the whole time either. Its dark, sarcastic, fun, strange, familiar and very different at the same time."<ref>http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=17657140&blogId=513089122 Myspace Blog Post of the Evthreads Post.</ref>

"There's been a lot of writing going on this summer and I'm starting to get really excited. My good friend Will happens to also be a great producer, writer and programmer (lucky for me!) and we've been slaving away at some pretty interesting stuff lately... I'm not giving anything away just yet. Terry and I have been working together this week at my place just like old times and life is pretty good"

On January 8, 2010 Amy Lee made an announcement through [[Twitter]] that the band would officially be entering the studio to record their third album in February 2010. <ref>http://twitter.com/AmyLeeEV/status/9442489000</ref>

"We are officially going into the studio to record our third album next month. I'm beyond excited and will keep you up to date along the way!"

This album is going to be produced by the Grammy award winning producer Steve Lillywhite. <ref>http://twitter.com/AmyLeeEV/status/8611691786</ref>
This article (http://www.kerrang.com/blog/2010/03/amy_lee_doesnt_have_an_opinion.html) says that the album will be released through Virgin. I would put it but I don't know how to put the tiny number that links to the source. Can someone else do it?

And I think we should go ahead and add this page to the big box thingy that's at the bottom of all the pages with singles, members, and all that stuff. Xp

<ref>http://twitter.com/AmyLeeEV/status/8611691786</ref>
i understand it.. so we have to decide if we redirect every greek page to its title in this language or we edit the common.js for hiding the title..

I believe so. I don't know why, but for some reason the coding for the images was spilling over into the next categories and not lining up at all with the text. Maybe it's just in firefox, but it looked bad. Perhaps just a text version would suffice?
Hello My Immortal. You and I have run into each other on talk pages for a little bit and I just wanted to say hello. Seems like you and I are some of the more active members on here so I just thought I'd introduce myself. :)
Well I do edit a lot of the pages created by you Italian and Portuguese fans. ;D
In fact, I just redid the entire page on the VSQ's tribute to Ev...
So, question time! Favorite Ev song ever??

My friend is actually going to give me some Sirenia songs so I'll be listening to them soon. :)
Favorite Evanescence cover??
Also, do you know if Armando is active that much??

Thanks for your help..
You'll most likely find me lurking around, making grammatical, punctuation, and capitalization corrections around the website.

Thanks for your help..
Hi, please, could you change the pages/links you've created with the title in italian?.. example.. in the main page, <nowiki>http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=''Tutto_dalla_A_alla_Z''&action=edit&redlink=1</nowiki> <br>to<br> <nowiki>http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=''Everything_from_A-Z/it''</nowiki>..
I alreadi fixed some links.. so, after editing the links, you just have to move the pages.. how?.. well, you go to the page and click on the tab MOVE, so you type the exact title in english, adding the "/it".. example.. i moved the CANZONI page..
== Why ==

I believe so. I don't know why, but for some reason the coding for the images was spilling over into the next categories and not lining up at all with the text. Maybe it's just in firefox, but it looked bad. Perhaps just a text version would suffice?

This limited edition of The Open Door comes with a jewel case wrapped in a glossy card sleeve cover. The card sleeve cover has the Evanescence name and track listings written in Taiwanese Mandarin along with English. On both the card sleeve cover and the CD line notes the upper right side of the vine logo in white (instead of being faded into the background) — this seems to represent Special or Promo Editions of the CD. The CD jewel case itself has the Sony/BMG logo embossed on the front and back. Also included is a black and white band poster with a band biography on the opposite side along with a small insert with what is believed to be codes to text messages to receive the songs as ringtones.

Along with the fact that the release is in a jewel case, the artwork is slightly different. The back of the liner notes has the Evanescence symbol revised vine logo with a moth above it. The tray insert is also different from other editions. It contains the sun logo along with the scarab beetle.

This also came with a limited edition, region free DVD, that contains all the Evanescence music videos (Call Me When You’re Sober, Bring Me To Life, Going Under, My Immortal, and Everybody’s Fool). The DVD is black screened in a thin plastic case with a single page insert. The DVD is sealed separately from the album, however does not have a catalog number.

Hello everyone. My name is Brittany. Please don't call me Britt unless you want your head chopped off. ;) I'm 17 years old and live in Florida.

I'm a huge [[Evanescence]] and [[We Are The Fallen]] fan. I also like to listen to [[Within Temptation]], [[Nightwish]], and lots of other bands.

You'll most likely find me lurking around, making grammatical, punctuation, and capitalization corrections around the website. I'll also be working on the concert and song pages.

Want to know more? Just ask. I'll probably answer your question.

== More Information on the Third Album ==

Thanks Shin
== Album to be released through Virgin ==
This article (http://www.kerrang.com/blog/2010/03/amy_lee_doesnt_have_an_opinion.html) says that the album will be released through Virgin. I would put it but I don't know how to put the tiny number that links to the source. Can someone else do it?

Thanks!
*It's very easy: Put '''<*ref>write the reference/link here</*ref>''' (without *) and it'll show up =). Read here: [http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=Help:Editing#Citations_and_Footnotes]

Thanks - Mattyb97

Um I think what happened with that was it was a mistake. There not listed under the virgin website (the last time I checked), there listed under the EMI website and wind-ups website

and i think it may be a good idea to arrange the page to an album type page. [[User:Sparky|Sparky]] 02:31, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

The man (woman?) has a good thought. Virgin could be an international release.

And I agree that we should change the format. I just don't know much about formatting on here... As said before. >.<
:I'm going to take a guess and say that "Given" is actually the instrumental version of "Give Unto Me" as found on the Sound Asleep EP. They both appear to be 1:59 in length.
