Recorded during the 2001-2002 demos and revamped as a B-side on the Australian [[Bring Me To Life Single|Bring Me To Life Commercial Single]] and later released as a bonus track on the CD portion of [[Anywhere But Home]] (the track can also be heard during the ending credits of the live performance). Has been internationally released as a radio single in Europe and South America in 2004.

According to [http://exodusevanescence.com Exodus Evanescence], here is the explanation behind the layers of vocals in Missing:
{{quote|Throughout the verses there is a looped background vocal of Amy whispering "can you stop the fire? please.. please.. please.." and "you can't stop the fire" on the LEFT audio channel plus "can you stand to fight her" and "you won't say the words" on the RIGHT audio channel. But on the later version of the song there is only "please... please..." on the LEFT audio channel and all the other lines on the RIGHT audio channel.}}

The background vocals also appear in the end of the live version of [[Exodus]] that was performed at Vino's on May 7th, 1999.

There's has been a supposed ''"Radio version"''. Some people have said that this is an official version, but the only download available is a ''mono'' track with poor sound quality and has lead most to believe that it's a fan edit. The radio version starts normally, but during the 1st chorus ("...im the sacrifice..."), the song fades into the 2nd chorus and skips the entire 2nd verse of the song.

With the release of [[Anywhere But Home]], the bonus track, Missing, was released internationally to radio stations for airplay and not released for public sale (though it quickly found its way on eBay). According to [http://exodusevanescence.com Exodus Evanescence], here is the explanation behind the layers of vocals in Missing:

The background vocals also appear in the end of the live version of [[Exodus]] that was performed at Vino's on May 7th, 1999.

There's has been a supposed ''"Radio version"''. Some people have said that this is an official version, but the only download available is a ''mono'' track with poor sound quality and has lead most to believe that it's a fan edit. The radio version starts normally, but during the 1st chorus ("...im the sacrifice..."), the song fades into the 2nd chorus and skips the entire 2nd verse of the song.

With the release of [[Anywhere But Home]], the bonus track, Missing, was released internationally to radio stations for airplay and not released for public sale (though it quickly found its way on eBay). The single had elaborate artwork akin to the cover of [[Anywhere But Home]] that made the disc highly collectible.

Internationally, two formal instances of the single exist in addition to known Australian, Spanish and French press releases. Both the European and Brazilian items (below) were scanned using the exact same equipment and are un-edited:

It all started when he saw Amy playing Meatloaf's ''I Would Do Anything For Love'' at a Christian youth summer camp. The two became friends, and the rest is rock music history. Wrote many of the most popular [[Evanescence]] songs including [[My Immortal]]. His father is a prominent photographer in the Little Rock area.

Before the show, Moody said, "there’s a duet between hana and i on there that WON’T be on the record and won’t be released anywhere ever again. it’s free because i want this shit spread EVERYWHERE. so be sure that all your friends share the four songs with as many people as possible. WOOT".
