Cellist/Composer - Dave accompanied [[Amy Lee]] and [[John LeCompt]] on the Fall 2006 Promo Tour for [[The Open Door]] (London, Barcelona, and Paris) and performed with them for AOL Sessions, Yahoo! Music and VH1 Unplugged. In October 2007 he performed with Amy Lee on 'The View', Fuse's 'The Sauce' and 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'.

Enjoying an amazing career for such a young man, Dave Eggar has performed throughout the world as a solo cellist and pianist. Recent engagements included gigs at Carnegie Hall, The Lincoln Center Festival, London's Barbican Center Concert Hall, the JVC Jazz Festival, the Hollywood Bowl, to mention a few.

A virtuoso of many styles, Dave has performed and recorded with artists in numerous genres including the Who, Michael Brecker, '''Evanescence''', Josh Groban, Dave Sanborn, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Kathleen Battle, Breaking Benjamin, Ray Lamontagne,Eugenia Zuckerman, Manhattan Transfer, Corinne Bailey Ray, Lyfe Jennings, Dianne Reeves, and Ornette Coleman. As a founding member of the FLUX quartet, Eggar has premiered works by Charles Ives, John Cage, Conlon Nancarrow, Frank Zappa, Elliot Sharp. Ornette Colemann, John Pattitucci, Oliver Lake, Augusta Read Thomas, Sir Harrison Birtwhisltle. He has composed extensively for classical and contemporary dance and has collaborated as composer or featured performer with companies such as the New York City Ballet, (Chris Wheeldon's Morphosen), Shen Wei Dance Arts (ConnectTransfer), Attack Theatre (Noto, Games of Steel, the Fitting Room), Rebecca Stenn Dance(Blueprint, Left of Fall, Carmen Sweets), Jose Limon Company (Moor's Pavane, La Malinche, Musical Offering), Thresh (Past-Present), and Dance Brasil. His work as a solo cellist has been featured in the films "Accepted", "The Last Winter", "Claire Dolan", "Joshua", and "The Roost" and he has been a member of the Lo Faber Band, the Sirius Quartet, Edible Red, and the Perks Dance music Theatre. Dave is a graduate of Harvard University and the Julliard School's Doctoral Program. His list of awards and accomplishments includes accolades from Time Magazine, ASCAP, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Geraldine Dodge Foundation and the Leonard Bernstein Foundation for his work in contemporary music. In 1997, he was awarded SONY Records "Elevated Standards" prize for his accomplishments in the field of classical music.

A 22-cord orchestra led by [[David Campbell]] (with whom Evanescence had already worked for their performance at the Billboard Awards 2004) starts off the song in order to introduce a choir, which serves as back up for Amy’s vocals.

The Open Door is Evanescence's second official album and third album overall. It was released on September 30, 2006, in Australia and Italy, October 2, 2006, in Europe and October 3, 2006, in North America. The album was recorded at The Record Plant in Hollywood, California, and mixed at Ocean Way Studios in March of 2006. It debuted at #1 in the US, Australia, Germany, Greece, Japan, and Switzerland and was in the Top 5 in Austria, Canada, France, Holland, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, UK, Ireland, Korea, Norway, and Denmark.

The piano is the principal instrument for the album.

The album was leaked to the public on September 4th, 2006.

On June 2006 (four months before the album's release), Amy posted on EvBoard.com:

Amy Lee is quoted to have said, “We've all fallen, but at the same time we're not broken. There is the hint that we are going to get up again.” This is one of the reasons that Fallen is called what it is. Ben Moody in an interview said that Fallen was made to let people know that they aren’t alone when they feel alone or feel pain. Fallen has sold well over 14 million copies worldwide and about 5 and a half million in the US alone. The album debuted at #7 and has not fallen below #39 to date on the Billboard Album Chart. The album stayed in the top 10 for 43 non-consecutive weeks. Released March 4th, 2003. The CD was re-released in January 2004 with the band version of My Immortal. Fallen was Grammy nominated for Album of the Year in 2004. [[John LeCompt]] and [[Rocky Gray]] both had writing credits on Fallen before they officially joined the band. John has credits on Taking Over Me and Rocky has credits for writing the original version of Tourniquet (originally called My Tourniquet) for his band, [[Soul Embraced]].

David Campbell composed the string arrangements for both [[Fallen]] and [[The Open Door]]. He also performed [[My Immortal]] with Evanescence at the 2004 Billboard Awards.

He is a Canadian-born music arranger, composer and conductor who has been featured on many popular albums. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and has three children: musician Beck, artist Channing, and singer/song writer Alyssa Campbell (who also sang with the choir on The Open Door).

He has worked with Alanis Morissette, 10,000 Maniacs, Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Elton John, Kiss, Duran Duran, Leonard Cohen, Stevie Nicks, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Hole, Ayumi Hamasaki, Sum 41, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, Will Smith, Fort Minor, Faith Hill, Liz Phair, Lindsey Buckingham, Jimmie Spheeris and numerous other musicians. He has produced more than 400 gold and platinum Albums. Campbell is a prominent member of the Church of Scientology.

'''Terry Balsamo''' (born October 9, 1973, in Jacksonville, Florida) can most prominantly be seen and heard in the band's [[Anywhere But Home]] (2004) Live CD/DVD and now on the band's new album [[The Open Door]] (2006). His style and sound have most definately made an impact on the band, and with astounding results. He has become [[Amy Lynn Lee |Amy Lee]]'s main collaborator for Evanescence and co-wrote most of Evanescence's new album including the album's first single, [[Call Me When You're Sober]].

Terry made his start in the music world as an early member of the now infamous Limp Bizkit. He left a few years before the recording of Bizkit's now classic album 3 Dollar Bill Y'All (1997), being replaced by Wes Borland. In late 1999, Terry joined up with fellow Jacksonville rockers; Scooter Ward, Sam McCandless, Jeremy Marshall and Kelly Hayes. Otherwise known as the monsters of Alternative Metal, [[Cold]].

Terry remained with Cold writing and recording with them for their epic yet underrated albums 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage (2000) and Year of the Spider (2003). Near the end of his stint with Cold, the band had joined Evanescence as an opening act on the 2003 Nintendo Fusion Tour. This was of course before the abrupt departure of Evanescence's guitarist, Ben Moody. Terry had filled in for Moody on stage with Evanescence after Moody left during Evanescence's European tour, and when Cold's future suddenly became questionable, Terry jumped ship signing on permanently with Evanescence.

In November 2005, Terry suffered a stroke from a torn neck artery which landed him in the hospital for an unspecified amount of time. Indeed, headbanging was the cause of the stroke. ''"They had to do an MRI. When they did the MRI, the doctor came back in the room and he was like, 'Have you ever had any neck injuries like from a car accident or anything?' And I was like, 'No.' Then we were like, 'Other than banging his head all day and every night for an hour and a half.' I’ve always had weird thing in my neck doing that, but I never would have thought it would have given me a stroke."'' Cellist/Composer - Dave accompanied [[Amy Lee]] and [[John LeCompt]] on the Fall 2006 Promo Tour for [[The Open Door]] (London, Barcelona, and Paris) and performed with them for AOL Sessions, Yahoo! Music and VH1 Unplugged. In October 2007 he performed with Amy Lee on 'The View', Fuse's 'The Sauce' and 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'.

Enjoying an amazing career for such a young man, Dave Eggar has performed throughout the world as a solo cellist and pianist. Recent engagements included gigs at Carnegie Hall, The Lincoln Center Festival, London's Barbican Center Concert Hall, the JVC Jazz Festival, the Hollywood Bowl, to mention a few.

'''David Hodges''' was formerly the keyboard/piano player for Evanescence. Joined in 1999 and left in December 2002, just 4 months before Fallen was released. Responsible for most of the string arrangements on [[Fallen]]. Collaborated with [[Amy Lee]] on [[Breathe]] and [[Fall Into You]]. Currently in the band [[The Age of Information]] (formerly known as Trading Yesterday). The band released The Beauty and The Tragedy in June 2004 they signed to Epic Records in the summer of 2004 but ended up parting ways with the label in 2005. The band's album 'More Than This' was shelved permanently and will never be officially released. 'More Than This' could be downloaded through the internet starting in December 2006. They changed their band name from Trading Yesterday to The Age of Information in September 2007 and released an EP on September 11, 2007 entitled 'Everything Is Broken'.

David also used to date the original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson.
