The look on the little boy's face is priceless. It literally brought tears to my eyes.

One of my really good friends is going to Iraq soon and this just makes me realize how much I'll miss him. He's going to be gone a year.

Seriously though, that totally got me. They're known for sending guys out for six-seven month deployments and I don't know how I'd deal with it now that I have a daughter, let alone how she would deal with it.

I'm sorry about your friend. It's hard on both sides of the fence.

Thanks, Mal. We're having a going away party for him this weekend, then he's off for training and might be back for a couple of days before he leaves for the big trip.

I hope you don't have to :( It'll probably happen at some point, but still...
