I had an opportunity to try this beverage (http://www.coca-colablak.com/us/index.jsp) yesterday. And I must say, I'm impressed. Very impressed. Have any of you tried it? If so... What is your impression? Also, I hear Coca-Cola blak & rum is a good combo.

The trademark is: "Coke effervescence with coffee essence". Since it sound a lot like Evanescence... I think this will make a great conversation piece here.

I had some a while back and oh god was it disgusting, I'm not much into coffee though. Most people I've asked didnt enjoy it much either..

So far, I don't like anything Coca-Cola except Mr. Pibb... So I probably won't like it. Just speculation.

So it's like coke and Coffee mixed together? That sounds kind of gross. At first I thought it would kind of taste like Mountain dew pitch black (which I love) but when I read coffee. I think that would be a no no for me.

I've had it a few times and I really like it. My cousin tried it and almost threw up..

I haven't tried coca-cola blak although I did once have a bottle of pepsi-cino which is basically the same but made by pepsi and I have to say I loved it! :mrgreen:

I've tried it once. It tastes alright, but the aftertaste was weird (for me at least).

It tasted a little too potent for me. I guess I will just take my coke straight, and my coffee separately. I guess it was a good experiment, but for me, I will not be buying anymore.

I loved that link. I also haven't heard of it, and I don't drink pop. But my mom's a stickler for buying these new flavors... so I'll eventually try it. There hasn't been a new pop flavor that I enjoyed after Mountain Dew came out with its Code Red and LimeWire flavors (amazing).

I haven't tried it yet but seeing as how I hate everything to do with coffee, ESPECIALLY Starbucks (dude, even their hot chocolate sucks..ftw?), I probably won't like it too much. I did see it on display at the store I work at though, and remember being quite..appalled. I would say that it's going to vary if people will like it or not..sorta like theres all those kinds of things you can put IN the coffee..milk, creamer, sugar, etc. It'll be one of those you like it or you don't. I think it will be interesting to see how long it hangs around

Actually, that new Pepsi Jazz commercial is pretty clever. I think that could definitely beat any Coke advertisement out on the market at the moment.

I like coffee but hate soda and anything else carbonated, so I doubt I'd like it.

But I have to say, when I saw "essense" and "effervescence" on the same billboard, I was a little overwhelmed. And it's Coca Cola BLAK, so it's lyke totally gawthic.:D

I heard that you can buy it in the Us, in France and in some big restaurants in Germany (large cities) and of course you can buy it in web shops.
I'd search on the internet. :)

I haven't seen it around much either. Even if I were into coffee *isn't*, I wouldn't make a habit of buying it b/c I've seen it priced at like $5-$6 for like, four bottles is it? Or six. Either way, boo.

I've never tried it either, though now want to and will look for it the next time I'm out.

i totally agree,cuz i used to drink Vodka mix Coffee,that tastes is sooo awful,that drink reminds me this awful thing.

All my attempts to like coffee always fail. I tried regular coffee with lots of cream and sugar...and it still tasted all bland.
Then I tried to start with coffee coke...and I just didnt' like it. It didn't taste like actual coffee to me though.

I haven't even heard of this (maybe its not in australia) but i'm not big on coffee (except mocha, and it makes me sick anyway). And coke with coffee sounds disgusting.
